just like christmas.

the parents have arrived for a short visit, along with my aunt carol. when they asked what foodish stuff i wanted from oahu and kauai, i pretty much said one of everything, and they obliged.

yum.

assorted goodies from oahu.

pineapple taking over my hallway.

maki sushi roll.

so yesterday i polished off a roll and a half of tanioka's sushi, plus some macadamia nut crunchies from big island candies, plus chocolate dipped kona coffee beans. it was a good day.

it's probably a lucky thing that my folks only jet over about once a year, or there'd be quite a bit more of me.

Oh yum. I will be going to Kauai for the first time (first time to Hawaii at all) in February. What should I not miss?

Oh my word, that sushi looks sooooo good, almost makes me want to lick my screen! Maybe I should go eat some lunch...mac & cheese is a close second, right? RIGHT???

I miss Hawaii. :( I could really use some chocolate covered macadamia nuts (a la Hawaiian Host) right about now!

Enjoy the goodies!

Oh I'm so jealous.

I should've been born Hawaiian. Tan skin, gorgeous dark hair, sand on my toes.

Instead, I'm a blonde white girl in the midwest with muddy boots.

Wrong. So very wrong.

Oh, that's what your native land is--Hawaii. What fun to have all of that food that you enjoy. Just had sushi for the first time--so yummy.
