going places

my girl has lean, narrow feet with those curly monkey toes.

i wonder where they'll take her.

and now, a feet poem (that is actually not so much about feet)

He Wishes For The Cloths Of Heaven {William Butler Yeats}
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

I love that poem and have for years...it pairs beautifully with your photo montage.

What a beautiful way to start my day, reading this.

Thanks for welcoming me into blogger land. Its good to know that someone reads my blog.

The poem was very lovley, even though it wasn't really about feet. But rather about dreams.

I think that your girl's feet will take her somewhere cool.

Tread softly, indeed! Our dreams for our children are fragile and hopeful at the same time.

Lovely shots of cute tootsies!

Oh, and if you ever want to learn to crochet the jacket on my blog, I'd be happy to help you :)

she has the cutest darn tootsies there ever was I think. isn't it fun to dream about what our children will become? i tend to take a lot of photos of feet too...which is kind of ironic because in real life they kind of freak me out. your life is so beautiful Nic!

take a bow Jenn
