Just read ECLIPSE (Stephenie Meyer) this past weekend. Right, I know, the rest of humankind read it forever ago (and if you didn't read the TWILIGHT series, yes, they are vampire books, but the main vampires are very likeable--minus Rosalie, whom I'd like to firmly squish), but I'm asking for belated insight. A few people whose opinions I trust are at least somewhat in the Jacob camp, and I just have to know: why? What am I missing?
Because seriously, Bella, just four words for you: Edward Anthony Masen Cullen.
That is all.
Team Jacob, you may leave your hate messages after the beep. (Or, you know, in the comments section. Please do not really wait for a beep, we are not that high-tech round these here parts.)

I still haven't read these books... I'm going to... really! I am... someday... :)
There's a gal out here in bloggy land who is an Edward fan to the EXTREME! Her mom got her vanity plates for her car for Christmas that say "EDWDCLN" - I think that is what it was... she has a blog devoted to all things Edward :)
Oh I am SUCH an Edward fan. BUT I have to say that sleeping bag chapter was amazing! lol Edward LOVED her. Jacob wanted her. That's all. Best books ever!
I haven't read them yet, but if they have your stamp of approval, I'll put them on my list.
I got a little somethin'-somethin' in the mail today. Made my day, you sweet, sweet girl you!
*Snort* You crack me up girl. I'm totally Team Switzerland all the way. Edward's an awesome dream but Jacob is a pretty fine reality, too. :D But you already knew where I stood on this issue, LOL.
I think I can safely be Team Switzerland because I can appreciate what Jacob did to pick up the pieces. And I think the epilogue of Eclipse really sealed the deal for me as to whether I liked him or not - but it was a gradual process - I wasn't a Jacob fan immediately - I sorta warmed up to him after a while (no pun intended).
Oh and I had to add another little comment - love the label for this post - genius. :D
I've read the books, and reread the best part of the books, ie: the parts where they kiss and where he is next to Godlike, and where...well you know all those parts. Anyway, I'm in the Edward Camp and I think Jacob is selfish and rude. He may be hot,in more ways than one, but so, mind you, is Edward. Cold, but so hot.
Thanks for your kind words on my blog, You are cute and funny, and I'd like to meet you.
Can't wait to see the movie...
I'm really stuck in the middle, and I wish I wasn't. I find myself going back and forth between Edward and Jacob. I think Edward is classy and refined, but there's just something about Jacob. I like the life Bella would have with Jacob just because I couldn't imagine life without children. That's just a huge sacrifice to be with Edward. On the other hand, if Jacob imprinted on someone else...where would that leave Bella??? Did you look on the authors website to see who they cast for the movie? I like Bella, but not too sure about Edward. They cast the person who played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter for Edward. I guess the Edward you conjure up in your mind is just TOO perfect. I hope he can pull it off. I can't wait for her next book. Let me know if you find any books that are this hard to put down. I just can't find any that compare. I do want to re-read Wuthering Heights though. Funny, I didn't want to read it when I had to for school.
