backyard carnival

Today we hosted a dual birthday bash for my two youngest boys, a la backyard carnival style.

the party mayhem

(this picture is somehow a little disturbing)

the littlest (and sleepiest) party-er

more merriment

(the best things in life come dusted in powdered sugar)

and the rest of the hullaballoo

My internal battery is officially out of juice, but I think it was well worth it. Off to recharge...

The pictures turned out great! If it's possible, the pictures look better than the real thing did!

That is the most outrageously cute, fun, adorable, little party. What lucky kiddos! Your talent for creativity never ceases to amaze me...

What a fun memory.

I have been wanting to have this as a birthday party theme for about five years or so. LOL I read about it in a magazine, and have thought about it ever since.

It looks like you guys had a GREAT time!

Thanks guys! It was a sticky day, but we had a good time.

Rob--I use a combo of Digital Photo Professional (software that came with my Canon Rebel) and Corel's Paint Shop Pro X. You can do pretty much everything in PSP X, though...don't really need the DPP. At some point, when I get better at this, I'd like to upgrade to Photoshop.

Angie--yes! Me too! I got this idea from two magazines, actually: Family Fun, and Martha Stewart Kids. You can still see the basics of both articles online. Super fun!
