this post brought to you by the color of happiness.

yellow is the bestest color. it makes me want to turn cartwheels and click my heels together and greet all my neighbors with 'cheerio!' (don't you wish you lived on my street?). this week's youcapture challenge was to photograph yellow, an assignment i thought would be easy-peasy, but it turns out that as profusely as i love the stuff, it's in limited supply 'round these here parts.

sad story.

here's most of the yellow i could muster up.

it's like portable sunshine, is it not? indeed.

i'm off to do some heel-clicking.

you all can do some clicking of your own to view more happiness here:
Photobucket

(see how i did that? with the 'clicking'? i am such a clever girl.)

I would be in dire straits if I had to photograph yellow. Oh wait, I spy a yellow level here on my desk, under a pile of papers... Come to think of it, I'd be hard pressed to find much color of any kind, in this room, other than blue. When did I become so neutral? We shall never know...

ps - Love that wee yellow/blue flower print on the quilt!

Again, you take the mundane and make it beautiful by showing it to us through your eyes. I am a HUGE yellow fan. My husband, not so much. Though I did find a shade of it that he allowed me to paint the basement with. Luverly.

It's fun that a cheery color like yellow is so prevalent in children's toys and belongings.
Love the shot of the swing. I can almost feel it swaying lightly in the breeze. Wonderful!

My sentiments on YELLOW too and I had the same revelation.... uh, other than toys and food - I got NOTHING around here! How darn boring is my house? :D
The photos are just beautiful - I love your style.

There aren't any people in your photos, but I can feel the big family when I look at them.

Beautiful!

Clever doesn't even begin to describe it ;)

My favorite are those Tonka wheels...I have a weakness for chippy yellow (or blue or red) trucks :)

I appreciated the clicking cleverness, even before you pointed it out. And yes, I *do* wish I lived on your street, for more reasons than being greeted with your yellow inspired "Cheerio!" (:
