self-portrait challenge: mirrors.2

βλεπομεν γαρ αρτι δι εσοπτρου εν αινιγματι

"For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face..." (1 Cor 13.12)

today's the funeral. i am not there.

i'm a bit sad about that, but it's all good because i'll see you on the other side, grandpa. face to face.

Sorry for your loss and the distance. The photo poignantly captures your emotions. Love the use of the verse, too.

Nic, my heart is aching for you.
I know my words can not comfort you... but i can just imagine how the life you made with your loving husband an four beautiful children made his life all the richer.

"And he shall be like a tree firmly planted by the stram of water, ready to bring fourth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper." (psalm 1:3)

Found this although I never had the honor of meeting your grandpa, I imagine that him as this strong sturdy tree full of defining character with full branches that provided much comfort and shade to his fruit.

Hugs and Love Nicki
