disconsolation is an unwieldy sort of word

I've been having a hard week.

I'm not sure why, this being my favoritest season and all; you'd think I'd be feeling the opposite of...this. This muck, this despondency that seems to mire my life at the most inexplicable times.

It feels like I'm walking through a tragedy, but without the tragic event, if you can follow that one at all.

But I sense the upswing coming, which is good news, and so we carry on.

it's weird how that happens sometimes....feeling the tragedy without experiencing it.

wish you could come over for some chocolate & drinks! coffee, tea or amaretto sours....whatever you prefer. =)

I wish I could help you with some profound words of encouragement, but I am at a loss. How about a great knock knock joke for your kids?

Knock knock
Who's there?
Little Old Lady
Little Old Lady Who?
Hey, I didn't know you could yodel!

I have felt that way before too... it's usually just a waiting game till you can get past the funk... hope it happens for you soon!

Hey Nic,

On your way to Funk Town? I'm on that train, too. And I didn't manage to get a seat, so I'll stand here and hold on as best I can and try not to look anybody in the eye and try to keep my balance until it's time for me to get off. It's all part of the ride.

And nothing some nonsense from the 70s can't help cure:
