Just in case you were wondering

Right now? Right now I am eating dried apricots and chocolate. And thinking it's possible the vitamins and fiber in the apricots will offset the chocolate in the chocolate, but not really caring if they don't.

Good for you! I eat chocolate covered raisins for the same reason... it's a health food. Besides, someone once told me that chocolate is a vegetable because it comes from a bean ;)

That's a great way to look at it :)

That's exactly my reasoning when I get a garden salad and a slide of chocolate layer cake for lunch. Offsets are key when watching your diet.

Hey, that's the entire basis of my child feeding philosophy right there. I'll accept a little sugar/fat pollution in exchange for some fiber and other good stuff making its way in there. Chocolate is the best bargaining tool during vegetable negotiation talks.
