haiku thursday

So Thursday seems like a good day for a haiku. Why not?

(Inspired by Window's error screen:)
Yesterday it worked.
Today it is not working.
Windows is like that.

Make up a haiku in the comments or an e-mail, and I'll pick a winner and mail you something. It could be a good something. Or it could just be something. One never knows on haiku Thursday.

Oh, those are just brilliant!

Let's see...

Lost amid the trees
Hungry for a glimpse of Fall
Oh how Summer clings

I'm nursing the one.
And getting the other's juice.
Now, my martini.

I want to get mail.
Besides bills, junk and offers.
Mail me something, Nic.

Haiku and blogging
Random thoughts mashed end to end
not so different

Haiku is hard, Nic!
Too small to fit all my thoughts
Or I'm just too dumb

Cold Stone Creamery
Custard and candy smashed in
But it makes me fat

well, those are crap-taclular, arent' they...but that's all I got...but since I'm first to post, I'm in the lead, right?

Heat waves of summer
Days and nights are sizzling hot
No relief in sight

The forecast for this week looks something like this: Thursday 111, Friday 108 (high humidity), Saturday 110 (high humidity), Sunday 110, Monday 111... and so on. The lows?? I think the lowest temperature I saw on there was 74 - which would be a perfect day time temp! Oh well :) Can we do two?? I'm going to anyway... :D

Refreshment is near
Feel the breeze cross the water
Hold your breath and jump!

Rob, sorry, I wasn't keeping up on publishing comments. My bad.

You all are inspiring me with your haikuishness.

Here's one I thought of earlier today:

The rain falls like...rain
I'm stuck indoors with four kids
Insane asylum

and now, off the top of my head (because we all know that makes for quality poetry):

Haikus hurt my brain
This line is not seven syllables
Oh good, it's over

:)
